Styling your Family for Bluebonnet Minis
Hey guys!
Bluebonnet minis are right around the corner. Unless that horrible winter storm ruined everything underground and they're not going to bloom the same this year........... but let's hope that's not the case. I actually know nothing about flowers, so I don't even know if a freeze in February could stop March flowers or not.
SOOO I'm just going to assume we will have tons of Texas bluebonnets in just a few weeks, and you guys need some outfit ideas for those minis!
Bluebonnets are hard to style around, honestly. They can look. very "busy"... you know what I mean? And the colors are very vibrant- green and blue/purple-ish. Hmmm.... what to wear with that whole deal?
It took me a while, but I'm thinking the following color schemes would work awesome.
BUT FIRST..
As you are about to see, I LOVE to encourage dresses or skirts for moms aaaalways, and often for little girls too. Dresses or skirts are just usually way more flattering and photograph so much better than jeans and a top!
***SIDE NOTE, while on the subject... if your little girl or toddler is wearing a dress or skirt, put bloomers under it!! Easy to find a cheap neutral pair on Amazon & they can come in handy many times other than photos so it's worth the purchase.
And you will also notice I always tend to recommend muted tones with neutrals. If you book with me, you probably agree that neon orange and hot pink isn't best for these kind of family photos. Colors like that can be distracting and take away from your beautiful faces! (See how perfect all the neutrals look for the family below?! SOOOO pretty!)

And just for a few extra tips: avoid logos-- like adidas or even Ralph Lauren shirts with the logo on the chest. You can usually get the same style shirt you're wanting from another store, but without the logos. And.. I think a lot of people disagree with me on this-- just saying because if you google bluebonnet photos, too many people have stark white on. But I personally don't recommend bright white for bluebonnet photos. A softer off-white will look so much better.
But okay, I can talk about this way more than most people care. So back to it-- here is the first style idea for your spring family photos in the bluebonnets!

Fun fact about the first style board- I have the women's dress in a MEDIUM available in my client closet! Hat included!
Other items in the board above can be purchased from the following:
Joyfolie (girls' dress- on sale now and if you buy it, I will buy it back from you for my client closet at 40% of what you paid-- message me for more info!)
Old navy (mens' shirt and pants, boys shirt)
Gap (boys' pants)

Fun fact about style board two- I also have the women's dress in a LARGE (adjustable for multiple sizes/ties), hat included. I also have the girls dress in a 2T, with bloomers to match. The dress for little girls is also on amazon and a quick and easy purchase! See below for a friend's daughter wearing it for photos last summer! Such a sweet little outfit!

Other items in the board above can be purchased from the following:
Zara (boys' shirt and pants)
Old navy (mens' shirt and pants)
And now for the final style board for bluebonnet mini outfit ideas:

And again- I have the women's dress in a LARGE (adjustable for other sizes/ties) in my client closet! And for those who are concerned it's too low cut, it's nothing a safety pin OR pretty bralette can't fix!
Other items in the board above can be purchased from the following:
Joyfolie (girls' dress- on sale now and if you buy it, I will buy it back from you for my client closet at 40% of what you paid-- message me for more info!)
Zara (boys' shirt and pants)
Old navy (mens' shirt and pants)
So that's all I have for now. I hope it helps give you some ideas of what to do for your own family for minis! And if you're getting minis in the bluebonnets and like any of the client closet options above, reach out to me ASAP to book the dress. Once a client books it for a session, it can't be used twice in the same day of minis.
Can't wait for minis, guys! Let's hope the flowers are beautiful this year!
